Pelagic fishing
CLS has developed a worldwide satellite service for pelagic fishing which provides high quality oceanographic data onboard the vessels. The oceanography scientific studies, in which CLS is actively involved, provide vital information on the environment. Thus, CLS oceanographers produce maps of seas ‘and oceans’ oceanographic conditions: altimetry, currents, thermocline, surface and subsurface temperatures …
CATSAT provides a comprehensive set of essential data on the oceans to anticipate and identify fishing areas with ideal oceanographic conditions for the presence of fish, allowing, in addition, to reduce environmental impacts, delays and costs associated with navigation.
CLS created CATSAT with high quality oceanographic maps coming directly from satellite measurements collected in real time and from scientific models that combine satellite observations with in-situ measurement.
